Hacking Metro PCS Motorola w315 to make a Data Call. Help! Says "Call Failed. Date Service Unavailable".
I have a Metro PCS Motorola w315. I just bought it. I want to use the phone as a modem. I have looked in the forums and I know how to access my programming menu on my phone and I know how to find and use my Subsidy Code . I have done both with no problem. I have a data cable from an alltel store #MDASM14 . I have loaded the drivers and plugged in the phone/. It attempts to makle a data call then it reads "Call Failed. Date Service Unavailable." I am using AOL to dial out and I am including the area code when doing so. I have the $45 a month plan.
I used to have a nextel phone. Used that as a modem no problem. I am guessing maybe some extra software to configure the phone and maybe different drivers would make this work.
Please help me on how I can get this to work. Web Browser will not work either. I need this to work soon because i need to connect for business. If its a 56k connection, thats fine. I just need to connect. Is there a faster option, such as tapping into evdo?

These should be the settings for your DUN(dial up network). Make sure you have "obtain ip address" and "dns server" selected to automatic. The dial up server you are calling should be "PPP". Make sure your phone is listed as a modem in Hardware Manager and that your phone is connected. Then open Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu, Internet Options, Connections tab. Once there, make sure you've selected the dial-up connection from the list and click the Settings button. Check the box for Use a proxy server for this connection and enter "wap.metropcs.net" in the address box and 3128 in the port box.

Dating as a Single Parent: Online Dating Safety
Why has online dating for single parents gone through the roof? Mainly because there are so many things to juggle such as sleepovers, visitations, schedules and more. Then we have the costs of pursuing the potential partner. I'll stop there because just those points alone explain why online dating for single parents is here to stay.
However, just as with dating in the real world, there are very real safety issues that you should consider before embarking on a cyberspace romance with your new soul mate. You may well be a responsible parent, but that does not make you immune to internet dangers. Follow these sensible precautions to ensure you find yourself an online romance and not a cyber stalker:
* Phone numbers. There is a very good reason why dating sites recommend not giving out your phone number too soon. Depending on where you live, vast amounts of information can be obtained from your phone number. If the friendship goes belly up do you really want to have to change your numbers because you are being annoyed by some deranged stalker? Do you want them annoying you at work? Be honest, would you hand over your telephone number to a complete stranger you weren't sure of in a bar? At least you have actually seen first hand the stranger in the bar.
* Financial situation. If you are wealthy, lucky you. Don't go advertising it while online dating though. Just like the real world there are also plenty of other single parents who would like to hook up with some extra cash. Be careful what you divulge. Careless details about expensive vacations and similar may well be giving away too many clues initially. Do you want to be liked for you or for your cash? There are plenty of unscrupulous individuals masquerading as singles who are looking to prey on singles with money.
* Personal details. Beware revealing your strett address and phone number too earlier in communications. A sensible potential partner will understand. If you live in a small town be wary of inadvertently mentioning you work for the baker or live in the lilac shingled house. It won't be too hard for the other person to suss you out if they wanted to.
* Protect your children. Sadly, there are some pedophiles out there pretending to be single dads and moms to prey on your children. The fact that you are a single parent is enough information to start with. Be a little gender and age non specific when mentioning your children. You should become a little suspicious if there is more interest in your kids than you and it doesn't matter how many children you have. Do not provide any photos of your children.
* First date safety. Just like your mother told you when you first started dating "Don't be getting in any cars with strangers." Just because you may see yourself as a parent first and foremost does not make you immune to dangerous strangers. When meeting up with new dates, do so in well lit public and busy places. Lunches can be good. Tell someone where you are going and with whom. Be sure to have a contingency plan in case your date turns out to resemble the motel owner from "Psycho". Trust your instincts. If they creep you out, move on politely and quickly.
* Read the fine print. As with anything else you purchase over the Net, it is always a sensible idea to read the small print. Are there monthly fees? What do you actually get for your money? Will it cost you more to contact those you fancy? Is the dating site reputable? Using a credit card with legitimate sites is no more dangerous than using it in a retail store. There is information stating that today, it's safer? Do your homework before handing over the plastic.

Stage Struck $27.99 Guitarist Gallager's third officially released live album (during his lifetime) captures him on a grinding world tour in 1979 and 1980, pumping out blues rockers with requisite aggression, yet none of the charm and subtlety that made his previous concert recordings so essential. The song selection is weak as it concentrates on lesser tracks from his late 70's collections, but more problematically the Irishman sounds like he's rushing the tunes and generally playing too loud. The arrangements bludgeon the songs behind a wall of sound, as Rory spits, rather than sings the lyrics, shouting above the crashing fray. This is particularly true of "Bad Penny," one of two newly added tracks for the revised 2000 edition, where Gallagher growls out the words as if they had little or no meaning, then shifts into a reggae beat that adds nothing to this version of one of his better tracks. While the live shows might have gone down well on stage, when they transfers to album, the excitement is lost, and instead of Gallagher's classy, snappy, eclectic mix of blues, folk and rock, Stage Struck sounds like plodding, second-rate Bad Company or Foghat. Where both previous live discs added a few acoustic tunes as well as digging into deep blues to vary the sound and show Gallagher's versatility, this one stays firmly rooted in straightforward sluggish rock, with precious little roll. All the songs push the five-minute mark, but none have the sizzle and compactness of Gallagher's best work. He sounds like he's going though the motions for the first time in his career, making this a below par, if not quite valueless document. The two additional tunes total about eleven minutes, but the disc is at least 20 minutes short of its potential playing time. Surely there must have been other tapes from this tour of better quality to tack on here. In any case, this is a disappointing reminder that even the best artists can release inferior work. Using Offset Printed Lapel Pins to Recreate the Details of a Chess Piece
Recently, we were challenged by one of our customers to recreate the appearance of a chess piece. The piece in question had a lot of shadows and gradients which gave it a 3D look. We recommended going with an offset printed pin because we could give the 2D pin a 3D appearance. To finish the pin off, we added a clear epoxy coating to help protect the printed image.
What is Offset Printing?
Offset printing is an option that we offer customers when they want an exact match of an image or photograph. The process allows your design to be printed on the lapel pin surface with one or more color gradients, or fades. This process also allows us to have two or more colors touch each other without having to divide the colors with metal like our traditional die struck lapel pins. Once the design is printed, an epoxy dome is put over the top of the design as a way to protect it from damage.
In the case of the customer referenced in this blog, we wanted to capture the regality of the King piece that they sent us to use in their lapel pin's design. In chess, it is the most important piece. The object of the game is to trap the opponent's king so that its capture is unavoidable. This move is called checkmate.
Chess pieces in general are multi-dimensional. Using offset printing allowed us to capture the detail of the King piece. Rather than look flat and two-dimensional, we created it in a way that shows all of its angles and the lustrous finish of the piece. This 3D design helped capture the essence of the church's chosen symbol and made a stylish lapel pin for the fellowship campaign.

today i was at a school basketball game and me and my friend went to the bathroom, the bathroom we went into is like the crappiest in the school and doesnt have a mirror, it just has like a crappy mirror someone once brought in there. she wanted to see how her outfit looks so she asked me to hold it and as i was holding it i suddenly felt something wet and sticky and i accidentaly dropped it cuz i had no idea what it was. she then freaked me out and said i have 7 years of bad luck. i never really believed in this stuff but im SCARED OUT FO MY MIND. i read to undo it you need to burry the broken pieces in the ground, but the janitors probably cleaned it. please am i really guna have bad luck and is there proof of this bad luck????
