Key Date Beautiful

hawaii help?
okay i was orginally going to this beautiful place in key west but some stuff didn't work out so i am now trying to find available areas in Hawaii.
Seven people are coming.
Any of the islands.
Near some sort of town (so we can go out to dinner)
has to be available in these dates (can be a bit flexible) December 22 January 5.
Any type Hotel, B&B's Villas.
Nothing totaling more than 1400 please.
Oh nothing on the island of Oahu. Nothing commercial.
Find me something good.
There are a lot of specifics that you want and need. I have good info on Oahu, but i think you should def get in touch with a Travel Agent. They are skilled in hawaii travel and can point you in the right direction and it won't cost you much at all for their services. Below is a post that I found that had some good info on the islands that you might find something interesting in. Good luck!
Which island is best question
Oahu....
The tourist destination... many people... lots of traffic... lots of tall buildings..... good shopping... and lots of things to do...good beaches but ive been to better on the other islands... Honolulu/Waikiki is just like any other major city i.e San Francisco...clubbing, high rise buildings, and way too many people.... but it does have a lot of historical places on Oahu like Pearl Harbor, Bishop Museum, etc....
Big Island...
The only island you can't drive all the way around in a day... it also has active volcanoes on it... on the Kailua-Kona side there is a lot and i mean a lot of lava... from kona to waikaloa, a 30+ minute drive is allll lava on each side. on the Hilo side it rains a lot more and is always green... very pretty... there are many things to do here from star gazing on a volcano top to snorkeling beautiful reefs... in hilo during easter week is the largest Hula Dancing Festival in the world... i like to say the superbowl of hula... the BEST hula dancers in the world competing in one place... i highly recommend this if you are there at this time(just make sure you get tickets way in advance)...
Kauai...
most BEAUTIFUL place i have ever been... this island has the most gorgeous Palis(cliffs)... gorgeous beaches... beautiful waterfalls... luscious gardens too... this island has the best nature of the islands... Kauai is also a very quiet island especially compared to Oahu... not so much traffic.. no tall buildings... not as many people... one thing i loved to do while i was in kauai was go kayaking...
Maui...
is also a very gorgeous place... the Road to Hana is a gorgeous drive... can be scary at times cuz of the steep cliffs but it is worth it... but if you do this trip then you need to get the self guided tour cd of the Road to Hana... it is a cd that guides you all the way thorough this road... it tells you about the places you would not know about without this cd... there are so many turn offs that you do notice that lead to fantastic black and red sand beaches, tropical gardens, historic churches, sacred marae's (temple sites) and ancient burial grounds... this is well worth it... i also recommend snorkeling or scuba diving(if certified) Molokini... it is a crater just 2 nd a half miles off the coast of Maui's southern coast...it is part of the orld's top ten diving spots... it has a gorgeous reef and beautiful fish...(i saw dolphins when i was there)...
another place to go is the Haleakala Crater... it has a spectacular sunrise... i would deffinately go there...
Lanai...
is a much more smaller island of the Hawaiian islands.... it is not visited as much as the 4 major islands... Lanai has great golfing as do the rest of the islands... and also great snorkeling...
Molokai...
is a very quiet island ....and easy to hear the sounds of nature... not visited as much either... very pretty island... is has a lot more ancient sites that shouldnt be disturbed...
Kaho`olawe...
is the smallest of the Hawaiian islands...12 miles in diameter... no one is allowed to permanantly live here under law... and no one is allowed to go ashore this island without permission... so i dont know much about this island...
Ni`ihau...
is one of the smallest islands also... it is privately owned so it is off limits to eveyone except for relatives of the owners, and pretty much government officials...
there are many hotels on all of the islands... some are high class resorts and some are not... on Oahu try to find a hotel not beach side and it most likely will be less...
so i hope this helped...

But Beautiful $15.18 Guitarist Jimmy Raney's final recording as a leader is a mellow affair, covering a number of favorite ballads. Joined by bassist George Mraz and drummer Lewis Nash (who frequently plays brushes), both of whom were members of Tommy Flanagan's trio at the time, Raney's interpretations are lyrical and intricate, developing long lines and inspiring great interplay among the musicians. Obvious highlights include "Someone to Watch over Me" (which begins with a dazzling unaccompanied introduction) and the brisk rendition of "The Way You Look Tonight." The guitarist's composition "Elegy for Ray Parker," a mellow ballad, serves as a memorial to a painter friend, while "Blues Cycle" was evidently conceived with Mraz during the date and serves as a perfect close to Jimmy Raney's distinguished career. ~ Ken Dryden, Rovi Performers: George Mraz - Bass; Jimmy Raney - Guitar; Lewis Nash - Drums |

Beautiful Jim Key (Paperback) $11.54 Beautiful Jim Key -- the one-time ugly duckling of a scrub colt who became one of the most beloved heroes of the turn of the century -- was adored not for his beauty and speed but rather for his remarkable abilities to read, write, spell, do mathematics, even debate politics. Trained with patience and kindness by one of the most renowned horse whisperers of his day -- former slave, Civil War veteran, and self-taught veterinarian Dr. William Key -- Jim performed in expositions across the country to wildly receptive crowds for nine glorious years, smashing box office records, clearing towering hurdles of skepticism and prejudice, and earning the respect and admiration of some of the most influential figures of the era, from Booker T. Washington to President William McKinley. This is the remarkable true saga of a truly exceptional animal -- and the no less exceptional man who led him to greatness. |

The Key $7.94 On The Key, Vince Gill presents a rather dazzling array of traditional styles to display his versatile talent. Going back to his Oklahoma country roots for inspiration, something he hasn't done in many years, he comes out with a recording so startling that even heavy-handed producer Tony Brown left it pretty much alone.Gill is in fine voice throughout, joining with a colorful cast of backing singers -- including Patty Loveless, Alison Krauss, Sara Evans, Lee Ann Womack, and Faith Hill -- to create the type of music that contemporary country radio has not played in over a decade. Over 13 tracks, Gill eases gracefully from one roots country style to another, from a classic hillbilly waltz to the edgy Bakersfield sound. He even skillfully tips his hat to guitar great Roy Nichols on "There's Not Much Love Here Anymore." A duet with Loveless, "My Kind of Woman/My Kind of Man," stands proudly next to the best country duets of George Jones and Tammy Wynette and Merle Haggard and Bonnie Owens. Most impressive is "Kindly Keep It Country," a stone-cold hard country song that details one man's heartbreak and the soothing effects of a jukebox and a bar stool. As heartbreaking as any song he's ever written is "Let Her In," told from the perspective of a divorced father who is trying to rebuild his life and still retain his relationship with his daughter. Just as effective is "The Hills of Caroline," a mountain bluegrass tune with a strong melody and narrative enhanced by the beautiful backing vocals of Krauss. The closing title cut is an endearing acoustic country tune, complete with mandolins and banjo, that comes directly from Gill's relationship with his late father. For emotional depth, honesty, and the kind of musical depth and artistry listeners have come to expect from Gill, The Key stands among his very finest recordings. ~ Jana Pendragon & Thom Jurek, Rovi Performers: Alison Krauss - Vocals (Background); Bergen White - Vocals (Background); Billy Thomas - Vocals (Background); Curtis Young - Vocals (Background); Dawn Sears - Vocals (Background); Dennis William - Vocals (Background); Dennis Wilson - Vocals (Background); Faith Hill - Vocals (Background); Jeff White - Vocals (Background); |

Key West - A Remarkable Vacation Rental Destination
One of the truly beautiful and remarkable cities in Florida is Key West. Beautiful homes dating back to the early days of the Spanish settlers. Home of the famous author, Ernest Hemingway, and winter homes of Thomas Edison, Lou Gehrig, Harry Truman and Tennessee Williams, this city holds many treasures. The streets themselves are full of amusement as you stroll down them viewing street musicians, artists, entertainers.
There is much African heritage in Key West also with the interesting Bahama Village founded in the 1800’s. It has one of America’s only African refugee cemeteries, dating to pre-Civil War times.
One of the most popular activities in Key West is the snorkeling. Some of the most beautiful reefs, tropical fish, rays and sea turtles swim right off the coast and are a site to behold. What a Florida vacation you can have in this area!
Key West had been quite a controversial area. It was bought and sold many times between the Spaniards and the English. Finally for the grand total of $2000.00, a businessman named John Simonton bought Key West. He, in fact divided the island up into four parts. With trade in the US becoming greater, Key West was soon designated as a United States port of entry and this totally changed the significance of the Keys. It was remarked to be one of the richest cities in the United States and still holds a status surpassing many places.
For your vacation to be remembered, there are so many things to do ranging from taking glass-bottom boat tours, hiking, kayaking, visiting many botanical gardens and aquariums. But people don’t just come for the land events. Some of the most beautiful turquoise waters are seen in the Keys with tropical trees, and water life. Take a parasail ride or jet ski and of course, do not forget to do some snorkeling.
One of the busiest beaches to view the beautiful sand and surf is Smathers Beach where they have national volleyball competitions. There are beautiful parks if you choose to walk and picnic. One of the most famous is Fort Zachary Taylor park. With a city steeped in history and multiculture, there are many museums for you to partake in, trolleys to ride through the streets and get the grand tour of the history of the city.
Florida vacations are not complete unless you try some diving in the keys. You can even swim with the dolphins if you are a nature lover. And, one of the most beautiful golf courses where PGA tournaments are held is a 200 acre golf course with club house, driving range and a pro shop.
The best way to stay in the Keys is to do a vacation rental. The charm of the homes on the tiny, brick paved streets and the cottages restored to their beauty are not to be compared with any other area in the United States. It is far more beautiful to mix with the natives, so to speak, by renting a Florida vacation home so that you can clearly enjoy all that Key West has to offer. It is such a serene area and you can sit on your veranda and just people-watch. With all the stresses of life, what an enjoyment to lie on a beautiful tropical beach and then take in one of the gourmet fares offered in this city.
There are many dining attractions and restaurants spread throughout Key West. The seafood selection is remarkable and not to be offered anywhere such as mahi-mahi, snapper, grouper, conch steak, tuna, you name it you can sample it here. It’s many cultures provides ethnic fares ranging from Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, German and Polish.
One of the curious things about Key West is that the mode of transportation is not necessarily in your car. As the streets have a lot of hustle and bustle, it is very common to see most natives of the city riding bicycles. It has become a great pastime of tourists also to rent either a bicycle or scooter to get around. Parking is at a premium, but there are plenty of bicycle and scooter rental shops so, you can park the car at your vacation rental spot and make your way through the beautiful streets.
Enjoy your Key West experience. Get that Florida vacation rental home which can afford you to enjoy some of the most grand dining and shopping experiences in a tropical paradise that surpasses many.
