Blind Date $15.18 When it comes to jazz, some dogmatic individuals suffer from an either/or mentality. They might assume that if you are playing bop at all, you are a rigid purist who would never dreaming of touching an electric bass -- or, dogmatists might assume that if you have any connection to the avant-garde, you must be playing the most extreme free jazz. But in reality, things aren't nearly so black and white. There are shades of gray in jazz, and Loren Stillman points to some of them on Blind Date. This 2006 recording, which finds the alto saxophonist offering original material exclusively, is neither an example of retro-boppers playing Charlie Parker standards nor an exercise in atonal chaos; Stillman, rather, keeps his options open and provides an album that is mildly avant-garde but not radically avant-garde. One of the strongest influences on Stillman's alto playing is Lee Konitz, but Blind Date never sounds like cool jazz -- not at all. Instead, Stillman shows some appreciation of Konitz in his tone but delivers inside/outside material that has one foot in post-bop and the other in jazz's avant-garde. But even on Blind Date's most outside solos, Stillman is never heavy-handed or confrontational; when Stillman goes outside, his solos bring to mind the reflective, pensive AACM school of avant-garde playing rather than the ferocious, dense, scorching atonality one expects from a free jazz firebrand like Charles Gayle. Can anyone tell me the strumming pattern to Dirty Little Secret by The All- American Rejects?
I found a really good tab with the chords and other notes, i just can not figure out the strumming pattern. It sounds ok with just down strokes but if you know the actual "pattern" and could tell me that'd be awesome!
I am a new guitar player, this is really the first song i will have learned so im not good at listening to the song and figuring it out yet. I know when to play each chord i just dont know up or down...
There is no way to tell someone up or down when strumming. Just play in time with the music and listen. That is something that you must learn to do if you plan on becoming good at guitar. It really can't be taught.

who here collects eggs and purchases stands online for them? looking for some good deals not finding any?
I collect pysanky type eggs. A few years ago I bought about 50 of the Princess Anne type holders, the round, three legged, low base about 1 3/4 inch diameter simple design type:). They were made out of a hard plastic and were gold toned like the more expensive 5$ or so brass ones.
I paid about $0.60 at the time per stand.
Anyone have any idea where to find similar deals now or where to find some other type of the Princess Ann stands at a decent price? I would need again about 50 or so.

One of the sites has them for about $7 and they're for larger eggs 2 1/2 inches and up while the other one does not have the princess ann type but higher base ones.
On ebay there isn't hardly anything worthwile at a decent price.

what make up colors look best on me?
Hi,
I just can't get whether I am warm or cool toned. I am fair with a light splattering of freckels on my nose. I have medium brown hair and hazel brown/green eyes. I get compliments when wearing true white and red or burgandy. I am a very fair latina. p.s. Yellow or gold/red based eyeshadows make my eyes look sick & plums make the green stand out. Thanks. I really appreciate any advice.
Believe me - Intelligent Balance from 'No 7' saves my life. Try it in Blonde (I know you're not blonde but it will suit your tone) this stuff makes your skin look radiant and i always thought they just made it look amazing just for advertising, but trust me. The trick is not to put too much on. Less is more in this case. Get some nice colour sets to go with it. I have skin like you and I use a mixture of Cream, Light brown and dark brown to shadow my eyes. Start with the lightest in the corner of your eye and get darker on your way out. I took a course in make up and hair and this is how I learned about it. For lipstick, It depends on your personal taste. I like bright colours so I go for red colours and Bourjois Paris - Rouge Hyperfix is what I swear by. It doesn't come off for ages unless you're eating but it's fab! Em... For cheeks, bronzing balls are great, but less is more for this too, so be careful. If you're more into pinks, try Liplicious Ultra Shine in Lollipop from No 7. It's great. But I've always stayed away from pink eyeshadows. They make you look tired. I always say - if you go light in the lips, go dark in the eyes (like a hint of black along the bottom of your lids) and if you go dark in the lips, brush a little cream over your lids with some dark mascara.
