How do i do these math problems.?
If a flagpole 24 feet tall casts a shadow that is 32 feet long, find the length of the shadow cast by an antenna which is 42 feet tall. Round to the nearest tenth if necessary
DO I MULTIPLY THE FLAG"S SHADOW BY THE FLAGPOLE"S HEIGHT OR BY THE ANTENNA?
If a tree 27.5 feet tall casts a shadow that is 11 feet long, find the height of a tree casting a shadow that is 13 feet long. Round to the nearest tenth if necessary.
A fire fighter needs to estimate the height of a burning building. She estimates the length of her shadow to be 7 1/2 feet long and the length of the building's shadow to be 84 feet long. Find the height of the building if the fire fighter is 5 feet tall
Use porportions.

so now you can cross multiply. 24x=1334
x=56 The shadow is 56 feet.
Same thing for this problem.

11ft 13ft shadow
357.5=11x
x=32.5 The height is 32.5 ft.
I hoped i answered you question. Just set up the equation and cross multiply (or whatever suits you) and solve for the variable. ( try to understand my porportion, i know they don't look right but i couln't fix it. The X is the variable and those numbers are seperate.)
