Manchester United..... disgrace !?
Man Utd refused to wear an embroidered poppy on their shirts because they didn't want their work to help remember those of the armed forces a two week period by wearing a poppy as they helped raise money and remember those fighting all year.
In my opinion it was just being stubborn and arrogant not wearing the embroidered poppy on their shirt. wearing a poppy for one game isn't going to ruin a whole years work for the club !

Whilst i agree that they are a disgrace for not wearing it i can also aknowledge that they have done more than most clubs for the Armed Forces... I bet many of the people who criticize them have not purchased a poppy themselves...

The Evolution of T-shirts from Wartime Europe to Present Day Tampa FL
T-shirts seem to be the favourite casual wear of everyone from day to day in Tampa FL. They are sometimes called tee shirts or tees. In fact, t-shirts are being used not only for casual wear but also as uniforms in companies, institutions and schools. Embroidered shirts with the company, organizational or school logo are often used as uniforms. Furthermore, they are favourite promotional items, just like polo shirts and golf shirts. Because of this, custom wholesale t shirts with either embroidery or printing are widely available for purchase. But did you know that t-shirts have evolved all the way from wartime Europe to present day Tampa FL?
Many sources say that the t-shirt was first seen early in the 1900s as light cotton undergarments worn by soldiers in Europe during World War I. By the 1920s, the English dictionary already contained the word “t-shirt.” In the United States, American soldiers took the cue and found the undershirts of European soldiers to be much cooler and comfortable than their wool uniforms which tended to be scratchy. By the time Word War II came to be, the t-shirt was already being used as underwear in the uniforms of the US Army and US Navy.
The t-shirt crossed over as a slogan bearer in 1948. At that time, New York governor Thomas E. Dewey used the t-shirt with the slogan “Dew it with Dewey” for his election campaign. In a short time, by the middle of the 1950s, the t-shirt was worn not as an undershirt but on its own onscreen by Hollywood superstars John Wayne, Marlon Brando and James Dean. In fact, in 1955 James Dean made the t-shirt an iconic teenage fashion item when he used it in his film Rebel Without a Cause.
In the 60s, the rock and roll and hippie era found young people practically living in t-shirts. By then, various specialty inks have been developed especially for t-shirts. Plastisol is stretchable and, therefore, not liable to crack on t-shirts. It has also been found to be more durable than its earlier counterparts. Today there are also shimmer inks, metallic inks, puffy inks and novelty inks that change color when the temperature changes.
T-shirt printing processes also evolved. From silkscreen printing, digital printing is now the preferred method. With digital Direct to Garment (DTG) printing, it is possible to print even the most complex design and color combination on t-shirts. It is also possible to print only one t-shirt or hundreds, even thousands, with the same design. Aside from printing, there is the iron on heat transfer method. This also uses digital technology. Any design can be specially printed out with special inks on special paper and then ironed on to a t-shirt. Of course, t-shirts today are also adorned with airbrushing, appliqué and embroidery.
The basic form of the t-shirt still remains. As the name implies, this means a t-shaped shirt with a collarless round neck, short sleeves and no buttons or pockets. Aside from this, though, other variations on the design of t-shirts have evolved. There are collarless v-neck t-shirts, scoop neck t-shirts and boat neck t-shirts. There are also collared t-shirts with short plackets in front, which may or may not have buttons. All these variations on t-shirts are popular in Tampa FL.
After going up a long way in history, we can probably safely say that t-shirts are here to stay as part of the clothing choices of people throughout the world. Whenever we come across custom embroidered t shirts as uniforms or casual wear, we should remember that it has evolved from war time Europe to peaceful Tampa FL. Let us hope that we will continue to wear them in times of peace and goodwill.

Is there a way of embroidering or engraving a badge/emblem into a metal hip flask?
I want to buy my dad a metal hip flask (http://www.dnkstyle.com/images/hip%20flask.jpg) for his upcoming birthday. And i wanted to buy him one with either the Northern Ireland football team badge, the Glasgow Rangers badge or the Leeds United badge on it (because he supports all of these football/soccer teams.
But i cant find any of these hip flasks, so i thought if i bought a plain hip flask with no badge on it, there might be somewhere in my local town that could engrave one of the badges.
Can anyone pleeez help!?
Engraving is done by jewelers, but you might have problems with the detail of a badge (instead of just a name). If one says "can't do" ask if he/she knows someone who might or might know of people's skills.
If you can get a thin badge in plastic or cloth, you might use a hard silicone adhesive like E6000 or the related GOOP products to clue the badge to the flask.

The public doesn't just like to see and hear what Obama says and does; they also want to talk about and analyze what he wears. When it comes to what the President wears during his normal work day and frequent media appearances, it's pretty much a standard outfit: dark suit, white shirt, blue tie and American flag pin on his lapel. The one way for him to make a fashion statement and express himself is by wearing a watch. President Obama is known to have a couple different men's watches: a Rolex, a TAG Heuer and a Jorg Gray.
Each of these men's watches makes a different statement: a Rolex is a Rolex, one of the most expensive brands of luxury watches ever, and the one which he was seen wearing when he was running for President. Ironically, or not, his then "competition" John McCain also wore a Rolex.
When still a Senator, Obama religiously wore a TAG Heuer Series 1500 Divers watch. This was his daily watch for about ten years and one which he still wears. TAG Heuer produces many sporty men's watches that are not out of reach for the average American to own.
The Jorg Gray watch that Obama has also shown much loyalty to has received the most attention because before he wore it, no one had heard of it. Given to him as a gift him by one of the Secret Service agents protecting him when he was still a Senator, this is an inexpensive men's watch that costs about $200 - $250.
Last night on the "Late Show" one could see that he was wearing a large sized watch but which one was it? People are tweeting that it was an Omega watch, or maybe a Rolex? My guess is that it was not a Rolex, as most men's watches by Rolex seem to have a metal bracelet and the one he wore has a dark leather strap. Unless the President has recently gone out and bought an Omega watch, likelihood is, that it was either his trusty TAG or his often worn Jorg Gray.
With all this talk about what kind of men's watch the President wears, what no one seems to be talking about is which hand he wears it on? Most people are right-handed so it's common to see watches worn on left-hands, but as you may have noticed, Obama is left-handed, which would normally mean that he wears his watch on his right hand, but he doesn't... he wears his watch on his left hand. A total quirk and something else that he will go down for aside from being one of the best Presidents this country as ever seen.
