STANDARDS of RESPECT
The Flag Code, which formalizes and unifies the traditional ways in which we give respect to the flag, also contains specific instructions on how the flag is not to be used. They are:
The flag should never be dipped to any person or thing. It is flown upside down only as a distress signal.
The flag should not be used as a drapery, or for covering a speakers desk, draping a platform, or for any decoration in general. Bunting of blue, white and red stripes is available for these purposes. The blue stripe of the bunting should be on the top.
The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose. It should not be embroidered, printed or otherwise impressed on such articles as cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, boxes, or anything intended to be discarded after temporary use. Advertising signs should not be attached to the staff or halyard
The flag should not be used as part of a costume or athletic uniform, except that a flag patch may be used on the uniform of military personnel, fireman, policeman and members of patriotic organizations.
The flag should never have placed on it, or attached to it, any mark, insignia, letter, word, number, figure, or drawing of any kind.
The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.
When the flag is lowered, no part of it should touch the ground or any other object; it should be received by waiting hands and arms. To store the flag it should be folded neatly and ceremoniously.
The flag should be cleaned and mended when necessary.
When a flag is so worn it is no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country, it should be destroyed by burning in a dignified manner.

What did John Fitzgerald Kennedy do that was important for the United States of America?
John F. Kennedy was the 35th president but what exactly did he do that was important for the United States of America?
Kennedy brought to the White House a stark contrast in organization compared to the decision making structure of the former general, Eisenhower; and he wasted no time in dismantling it Kennedy preferred the organizational structure of a wheel, with all the spokes leading to the president. He was ready and willing to make the increased number of quick decisions required in such an environment, and did a monumental job of selecting his cabinet and other appointments, some experienced and some not. In those cases of inexperience, he stated, "we can learn our jobs together". There were a couple instances where the president got ahead of himself, as when he announced in a cabinet meeting, without prior notice, that Edward Lansdale would be Ambassador to South Vietnam, a decision which Secretary of State Rusk later had Kennedy alter. There was also the rapid appointment of Harris Wofford who was summoned and arrived at the White House for swearing in, without knowing the position he was to assume.
Kennedy further demonstrated his decision making agility with Congress and his staff. Much to the chagrin of his economic advisors who wanted him to reduce taxes, he quickly agreed to a balanced budget pledge when this was needed in exchange for votes to expand the membership of the House Rules Committee in order to give the Democrats a majority in setting the legislative agenda. The president insisted on a focus upon immediate and specific issues facing the administration, and quickly voiced his impatience with ponderings of deeper meanings. Deputy national security advisor, Walt Whitman Rostow, once began a diatribe about the growth of communism and Kennedy abruptly cut him off, asking, "What do you want me to do about that today

Rules and regulations for opening a restaurant can change from state to state as there are different business licensing procedures and health department regulations. Since you are just graduating I do suggest that you put off your dream for a while and do some groundwork that I feel is essential to restaurant business success - start by working for someone else!
The restaurant business is cut throat and very demanding. Unless you have a firm grasp on every aspect of the business it will chew you up and spit you out leaving you on the street without a dime to your name.

Some PARTISANS (not Americans) support torture and their party before the US ... I'm guessing a water bucket could be the next symbol for our country, right?
I love the flag and apparently, we are a majority of Americans who wants to keep that flag as our symbol. The others simply PISS on the flag by supporting torture!

We need to stand up for our rights and we need to fly the US flag anywhere and everywhere in America!
People are given their very lives today to protect that flag it is Un-American to stop anyone from properly flying the flag or posting a sticker of the flag on his locker. He was suspended but because people stood up and supported him he is back on the job and the flag sticker is still on his locker.
I like what this brave man said. "The American flag is not offensive to anyone and if it is they should not be in America."
We would be better off if people like this were in Congress.
HE WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT DOWN BECAUSE IT WAS AGAINST POLICY.
POLICY THAT DENIES RIGHTS GIVEN IN THE CONSTITUTION ARE ILLEGAL AND YOU AND I DON'T HAVE TO PUT UP WITH IT.
I believe this guy won his case and has been reinstated and his flag can stay.

The missing part is that some other fire fighter had a sexually oriented sticker on his locker and was made to take it down so he complained that the flag offended him. If our flag offends you fella, get out of the country.
