Do the Maroons still have what it takes?
Are the current Queensland side a little soft?In game 2 in 1989 at the Sydney Football Stadium,when Queensland won its 5th game straight 16-12 after facing a ferocious Blues pack.....At 18 minutes halfback Allan Langer broke his ankle......At 29 minutes Mal Meniga suffers broken eye socket.....At halftime 'Fatty' Paul Vautin unable to continue because of injured elbow.....At 57 minutes Michael Hancock injures bad shoulder......At 75 minutes Bob Lindner forced from field with broken leg......Queensland ran out of players and played the last 5 minutes one man down but still won 16-12.So are Queenslanders still made of the same stuff?Is today's Queensland side a little soft in comparison?
The golden oldies were great, but this current Queensland team is arguably the greatest ever.Anyway, we'll find out on wednesday night,
but i think it will take a herculian effort by NSW to beat this side.
Qld are all fit,NSW have injuries, and they are playing a few second stringers for the second game.I still think it will be a tough match, with a greasy track thrown in.

Do all compact fluorescent light bulbs give off that terrible blue glare? Or are some softer and warmer?
We bought a six-pack at Costco and they are AWFUL. The light was so bright and had this blue tone, it gave us a headache. We had to remove them all and go back to the regular bulbs.
Is there a particular kind of fluorescent bulb I could buy that does not have such a horrid glare? Our light fixtures are glass, installed by the landlords, not removable.

At the local hardware store by my house I accidentally bought a fluro light bulb in 'warm light' it was horrible. It made everything have a yellow glare.
I know you can fluro bulbs in different 'whites' but I think you might need to check a hardware store for the whole range.

displaying a service flag (blue star banner) unappropriately?
so i have a really good friend who left for basic a few weeks ago. the day he left he came to say goodbye and presented me with a blue star banner that he said the army had given him to give to someone he cares about, and because hes closer to me than any of his family he wanted me to have it. when i got home i hung it up in my window. my mother just came home a few minutes ago and told me shes been getting a lot of remarks about the inappropriateness of my displaying that flag and that she wants me to take it down. i would like to know, am i being disrespectful or something by having that flag in my window? what am i saying by showing it? i didn't think that it would be an issue. but apparently all the neighbors think i'm stepping out of line by keeping it in my window. advice please??
It was actually started for family members, and the actual rules are for family members of deployed military to display it, however I feel if you are a loved one of a soldier and you have pride enough to display it go ahead. You aren't the only one. My husband gave a few of them to our really close friends and all.
I think the neighbors are being stupid, unless you have it hung wrong or something?
It is a rectangle and is supposed to be displayed in an up and down manner (the longer parts on the left and right not top and bottom) and the point of the start is supposed to be pointing up...
If that isn't the problem than they just need to get over themselves.
"The flag should be displayed in a window of the residence of persons who are members of the immediate family. The Service flag may also be displayed by an organization to honor the members of that organization serving in the Armed Forces during a period of war or hostilities."

When the star is displayed upside down, it usually has a red thin line circle around it as well which means that your loved one has been captured or is missing.

Are there any websites that give you information about how parishes (counties) compare with the price of land and/or building a home? Im looking to build a home within the next three years and I would like to get cheaper land and build a home for the best quality and cheapest price. i live in washington parish... and it depends on where you want to build.....your best bet is washington parish or even just over in mississippi. dont go to far from the back country or youll get to pricey.....

Right now the best place to live is Hungary, if you happen to have one thousand us dls per month you can live like a king, the weather is good except winter which is about the same as it is here in the States, real estate is relatively inexpensive compared with the price in other places in Europe, scenery is superb beautiful mountains, the Danube river you name it, architecture is superb, you won't find houses made of cardboard, I have been there 3 times and I am considering in moving there most of the time, of course I am learning to speak their language. Most important is the fact that crime is amazingly low in Budapest the Capital, walking the streets there you feel very secure, people are extremely friendly. I hope I have answer at least partially your question.

I have a silver soprano saxophone that i need help identifying..?
It has : American Standard High Grade made by Clev. Mus. Ins. Co Clev. O-O. The only numbers i could find on it were M89 near the top and pat. 1.705634
I've researched a bit on the net, and keep coming up with HNWhite, but i need the info on the company and instruments once it became Cleveland Musical Instruments Co....
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Endeavour Silver Discovers Two New High Grade Silver-Gold Veins Adjacent to Lucero Vein
How can I obatain elemental silver from Silver Nitrate in a quick, safe, and cost effective manner?
We have to make Silver oscar trophies with the same dimensions as the current gold trophies.
1. The current trophy is 3.86 kg. we need to use this to find the mass of silver required. How can I use the mass of the gold to find out the mass of the silver?
2. I need the most cost effective method for obtaining the silver from the silver nitrate.
3. My teacher says container size and company may effect the cost of the materials. We need to figuratively "buy" an entire container.
4.She also recommends high grade silver nitrate b/c impurities will effect our yield. If we choose a lower grade silver, then we have to show calculations for the percent yield.
Okay, here is how I would do it. Ag is in +1 oxidation state. What you need to do is get another metal to come along and reduce it to it's normal oxidation state. So look at an oxidation table for a metal that will reduce silver and itself be oxidized, taking it's place in solution with the NO3-. Make sure the metal is soluble. Off the top of my head, I would guess that zinc might be a good candidate for the job, but you need to look at an oxidation table and figure out for yourself what will work and furthermore. I can't remember if zinc is a more powerful reducing agent than silver.
